Brenda Wood

Brenda Wood is an Australian textile artist working primarily with painted fabric and stitch. Her practice explores colour, pattern, memory and visual language, moving between abstraction, portraiture, landscape and social narrative.

Across her work, Wood is drawn to what lies beneath the surface — the patterns that reveal information, the stories that become overlooked, and the ways colour, texture and visual codes can invite us to look more closely.
