Every now and then you come across a quilt pattern that brings back memories!
Catherine Wheels is the one for me!
Remember those whirlygig little spinny things on a stick, they spin really fast when you run around with them….
They bring back the most wonderful memories for me, of school fetes, and our loungeroom full of cupie dolls on those crooks. Mum used to make them and hang them all around the loungeroom on the picture rail! She used to dress up as a clown too, and spin the fairy floss !
This pattern is wonderful, it has a great border, rather like bunting at the fare!
